What is Shakti Mudra?

Shakti Mudra is a hand gesture which ensures numerous mental as well as physical advantages. The word “Shakti” means empowerment or power and Mudra is a form of expression by using the fingers of both hands. It is good for triggering sound sleep and relaxation. Practice of Shakti Mudra

In order to do this mudra, join little fingers and ring fingers of both hands. Fold the middle and index fingers loosely over the thumb.  Then, you need to bend the thumb towards the palms. While doing this mudra, proper concentration and focus should be given to the process of breathing in the pelvic area and the exhalation should be lagged.  If your sleeping problem is acute, then you can go on exercising it as needed or until the good result is obtained. This mudra accelerates the respiratory impulse in your area of the chest. It gives a calming and soothing effect and it also ensures sound sleep and relaxation to people.

For chronic insomnia:  Sit down, close your eyes and do this mudra for about 10 to 12 minutes. Gradually, feel the mental and physical tension going away.  When completed the mudra, lie down. It’s very effective to practice this mudra every night before sleeping.
